♥ my precious angel, tippy doreman ♥

tippy doreman is one of the many inhabitants of lego city.
he is the stepson of buisnessman/crime boss/mary sinclair's #1 hater, r.e. fendrich, and is a doorman at an unspecified residential building.
(i. don't think they ever tell us what the building IS. is it aparments? hotel? secret third thing?)
he appears in all four seasons of lego city adventures, but his only physical appearance in a set was in the 2022 lego city advent calendar.

throughout his entire life, he's been very passionate about doors. you can even see framed photos of various doors hung up on the walls of his apartment. while it's not explicitly stated in canon nor has it ever been confirmed to BE canon, i believe he is on the autism spectrum and that doors & doormanning are his special interests. and as a doorman, he shows an extreme level of dedication to the craft, as not only does he fufill every single one of his duties with a burning passion, but he also seems to have every specific movement and method for opening doors memorized, as well as when to use them. he also has a habit of correcting others for improperly manning doors, much to their annoyance.

the episode that really highlights his devotion to doormanning would be season 1, episode 7, "doorman of the city".
in this episode, the entire town is participating in what is tippy's least favorite day, which is hands off day. it's pretty much exactly what it sounds like. you're not supposed to use your hands for anything at all for the entire day no matter what, and it doesn't seem like there's any way to opt out of it. i get why he despises it, i'd be pissed too if i was forced to participate in no hands day.
he uses his hands anyways because a.) fuck the law, b.) he needs to use his hands to properly open doors, and c.) he thinks it's stupid.
unfortunately, police chief percival wheeler rolls up on his stupid cop skateboard and gives him a ticket. he is ticketed for not being fun.
how fucking rude.
